Foreigners and persons without citizenship, which came to Ukraine legally, can temporarily be in territory of the country under the passport documents registered by way of establishment by the Law of Ukraine (" Rules of entrance of foreigners and persons without citizenship to Ukraine, their departure Ukraine and transit travel through its territory ").

The passport document moves by the foreigner and the person without citizenship for registration in a check point through frontier to the official of the State boundary service.

Registration is made for the period of short-term staying - for foreigners and persons without citizenship from the countries with visa order of entrance for the period of action the visa, but no more than 6 months, for foreigners and persons without citizenship from the countries with visa-free order of entrance - for 90 day, if other term is not certain in the international agreements. Foreigners and persons without citizenship can be exempted from registration of the passport document on the basis of the corresponding international contract of Ukraine on conditions of reciprocity.

If the foreign citizen does not pass procedure of registration in established terms, he will be exposed with penal sanctions. The penalty can be established from 340 grn. up to 1700 grn.

Terms of registration depends on the purpose of arrival to Ukraine.
