Odessa - a city on Black sea side of Ukraine, administrative centre of Odesskaya area, the largest port of  Ukraine, large industrial, cultural, scientific and resort centre; the element of big roads and railways. The City-hero. On count of inhabitants (1 000 779 persons on 1 February 2007) it is fourth in country.

In Odessa there is famous Potemkin stairway, having presently 192 steps. The Great prince Mihail Semyonovich Voroncov has presented the stairway, which costed him 800 thous. roubles, his wife Elizabeth. The construction of this really gigantic stairway was commenced in 1837 and was finished in 1841. The author of the project was an architect F. K. Boffo.

Having risen on Potemkin stairway,it is possible to get on Seaside boulevard (Odessa). There great panorama of the port is seen. Along the whole boulevard is pulled beautiful architectral ensembles, here, near one of the t most beautiful buildings of the Odessa, City Duma, is a monument to great russian poet Alexander Sergeevichu Pushkin. Also monument of the architecture is located on boulevard with facade in style of the early Italian Renaissance, 4 star hotel "London". The Seaside boulevard - loved place of the walks of the inhabitants and guests of the city. The extensive array occupies the Central park of the culture and rest n. T. Shevchenko, former Aleksandrovskiy park. There  monument to Unknown sailor is erected. Always burning fire beside reminds the people of great feat of protectors of Odessa.One more great place, worth seeing, is the main street of the city Deribasovskaya, named so in honour of founder of the city Iosifa Deribasa

.At present the bigger part of street and area are  forbidden for cars and are for walkers only. And together with verging to her City Garden, is one of the the most loved places for rest and walks of the inhabitants of the city and its guests. Also City Garden  was traditionally the place of  selling exhibition of the pictures of  artist from Odessa. Now, this role executes the Cathedral area.
